The documentary stars the owner of the salon, Fernando “Pablo” Mupapa, as he unfolds from the haircut ritual to open himself up to the voices and reports of immigrants from the Democratic Republic of Congo living in Brazil. Through a connection with Africa, the dialogues between Pablo and his clients recorded by the filmmakers reveal assertions of identity and the dream of an anti-imperialist revolution.

Both André and Maria wish to return to live in Brazil. In this attempt, difficulties boil up in André's journey as he faces a need to reconnect both emotionally and professionally. Neither has any idea of what kind of country lies ahead after more than two decades away from it. The place they fled from is no longer the same one they left behind. Between emigration and a return to their roots, they will have to forge a new identity.

Her inner turmoil and conflicts hamper a process now made necessary - that of readapting to her new life. It is impossible for her to disguise her pain when she attempts to narrate emotions.
