Children's Songs and Stories with the Muppets

Children's Songs and Stories (with the Muppets) was released by Playhouse Video in 1985, as part of a series of compilations featuring songs and sketches from The Muppet Show. In this one hour compilation, Scooter presents his scrapbook of songs and scenes from The Muppet Show for children. He tries to introduce his "personal favorite" song, but is continually interrupted by various characters (all performed by Jim Henson). Muppet Show guest star appearances include Brooke Shields, Twiggy, John Denver, Julie Andrews, Judy Collins and Charles Aznavour.

Macbeth

Macbeth is a 1978 videotaped version of Trevor Nunn's Royal Shakespeare Company production of the play by William Shakespeare. Produced by Thames Television, it features Ian McKellen as Macbeth and Judi Dench as Lady Macbeth. The TV version was directed by Philip Casson. The original stage production was performed at The Other Place, the RSC's small studio theatre in Stratford-upon-Avon. It had been performed in the round before small audiences, with a bare stage and simple costuming. The recording preserves this style: the actors perform on a circular set and with a mostly black background changes of setting are indicated only by lighting changes.

The Music of Lennon & McCartney

A 1965 British television special honouring the songwriting partnership of John Lennon and Paul McCartney. It was produced by Granada Television and aired on that network on 16 December 1965 before receiving a national broadcast the following evening. The programme mainly consisted of other artists miming to their recordings of the songs. The Beatles performed Day Tripper and We Can Work It Out, and Peter Sellers delivered a comedic interpretation of A Hard Day's Night, in the style of stage actor Laurence Olivier's portrayal of Richard III.

It's Little Richard

Little Richard, The Shirelles and Sounds Incorporated perform on UK television in 1964. Songs include: "Rip It Up," "Lucille," "Long Tall Sally," "Everybody Loves A Lover" and "Will You Love Me Tomorrow" (The Shirelles), "I've Got the Joy Joy Joy Joy," "Send Me Some Lovin'," "Whole Lotta Shakin' Goin' On," "Hound Dog," "Good Golly Miss Molly," "Tutti Frutti," and "Jenny Jenny."
