Kupala Night

During Kupala Night, two angels intervene in the rituals of the town's inhabitants. They take care of a virgin wearing a wreath in order to spoil the devil’s plan. During the night, the devil runs a registry of sinners. However, divine providence has different plans for her. An animated Midsummer fairytale directed by Piotr Szpakowicz, a creator of films for children and adults, specializing in animation and often focuses on the theme of people and nature. The film was realized in a combined technique. Flat figures made of plasticine were put on background boards, in the style of oil painting. Some of the figures were covered with crepe paper, maintaining the depth of the shots.

Jemioła

Although mother and daughter live together, they live in two incompatible worlds. Zofia is dependent on her daughter. Julia is tired of life with her mother, but she is unable to break the bond between them.

Mimosa

The bodies of the lovers become one in the bosom of nature, near their country cottage. The moment is interrupted by the man and his thoughts – he has to go in order to earn money. They spend autumn and winter separately - she yearns alone, he works hard in a mine and a forge. In spring, when the woman runs towards the man in order to welcome him, she sees a dead man walking. She manages to recognize him only by the pendant that she gave him. In her embrace, the man regains his strength. Gold coins fall to the ground and merge with golden rod, the Polish mimosa. Stylistic paintings refer to oil painting and hold the subsequent phases of the figure's movement, which gives the impression of plane movement.

A Neon Trifle

Night falls over the city and neon lights are flashing. As the clock strikes midnight, a boy from the hotel neon light gives his heart to a girl from the drugstore neon light. However, it turns out that a centaur from the bar neon light is an insurmountable rival. A tragic love story is going to happen.
