Uncle Sol Solves It

Eddie Lambert is an advice columnist and radio personality. People come to him with problems, and he offers solution. In the third of three 'Uncle Sol' movies, Lambert deal with four sets of problems which gives the opportunity for four performances: a ventriloquist, a tap-dancing sextet, a decent swing trio, and Beverly Sills singing "Il bacio" at the age of seven.

Rhythm Saves the Day

Buddy Page hires the Cabin Kids (young singers and dancers) to lock up the old band maestro who has the band in uniforms and playing boring music. The Kids also walk the town with signs advertising a new swing band.

Mixed Magic

When Buster Keaton goes to work as an assistant to a carnival magician, the results turn out to be less than magical.

Blue Blazes

Buster becomes a fireman, but unfortunately not a particularly good one. He has a chance to prove himself, however, when three women are trapped in a burning building.

Broadway Gossip No.2

Leo Donnelly in the role of a Broadway columnist who interviews stars, celebrities and wannabees and not-yetbees of the era, supposedly to set the record straight. Paulette Goddard discusses her engagement/non engagement to Charlie Chaplin; Paul Whiteman tells how he had to lose 100 pounds before he got married, and Harry Thaw and Evelyn Nesbit - the Girl in the Red Velvet Swing - tell him what is happening in their lives in December of 1932. Leo then digs up archive footage featuring Gloria Swanson's four husbands...one at a time.
