The film is based on the poetry of A. Čakas. The action takes place against the backdrop of pre-war Riga. In the contrasts and poetry of the city, we recognize the world of A. Čakas' poetry with its basic intonations - pain, kindness, self-irony.

A story about one of the houses inhabited by those who are forced to choose housing at the lowest price. Poor people live here, who have to struggle for existence every day. But despite the difficulties, people do not lose their dreams and help each other in a difficult moment.

Spring Song

When spring comes to the city, the surroundings come alive. The sky becomes bluer, the trees turn green, the birds sing and the sun shines brighter. And, of course, children run into the streets. Among them, a mischievous boy wants to break the starling cage, but he is stopped by the example of an older friend, who teaches him that the surrounding nature must be protected.

Cabbage Garden Secret

The cabbage field was guarded by the Dog, but he was very lazy. Having once seen that most of the cabbage heads had been chewed, he decided that the hares were playing a prank. Having caught one Little Hare, the Dog put him on a chain and forced him to guard the field.
