Françoise Marinier, a strong-willed young woman, won't accept a husband being forced on her. She left her family and moved to Paris, where she found work as a secretary for a fashionable artist, Edith Mars. The understanding Edith Mars encourages Françoise's budding love affair with an embassy attaché.
