Moncha, a cocuy artisan, and Miriam, a notable scientist specializing in botany, undertake a long struggle to legalize the cocuy. The cocuy is an ancestral spirit drink obtained from the agave, the “miracle plant”. This drink was banned in the 50s, which meant decades of criminalization of a people and their traditions. The two women will face large corporations and will manage to transcend the history of a country that is beginning to recognize its cultural value.

Sarita, who is 93, has no hesitation in confessing her love for Denis, a young policeman. Pachito’s daughter, fearing that something may happen to her 98-year-old father, tries to prohibit him from continuing horse-riding. In Sardinia, for his 93rd birthday, Adolfo wants to fulfil his dream of flying a plane. In Okinawa, Tomi, 93 years old, cannot recover from the death of her first son. Her friend Haru, who is 98, encourages her to return to the pop group formed of the island’s grandmothers.

A group of musicians discovers in an old LP record a musical work from more than 40 years ago, which tells the story of a Riojan caudillo. They decide to remake this album and begin to summon musicians and interpreters to renovate the original versions.
