Using distortion, tracking lines and static to evoke her fuzzy state of mind and neurological impairment, Corrupted records her struggle to remember as she faces the deleterious effects of the therapy on her mind, body and soul.

After a long time trapped in the glaciers of Patagonia, the ghost of cameraman Lucien Le Saint breaks free. He follows the same navigation route he took a century ago, observing the new inhabitants of the places where he filmed the Fuegian people.

But her insecurities have grown over the years and she undergoes cosmetic treatments to please him, forcing her to neglect her sick mother living in southern Chile. Lucía and Valeria take out three Tarot cards that reveal the first two dishes of a menu that takes them from Embún, Spain to Llanquihue, Chile; the towns of their grandmothers. Among improvised still lifes, maps and video calls, the friends try to discover the meaning of the third card through a ritual that connects both continents.

Austral Fever

Amanda (46), a complaisant and lonely woman, lives with her son Daniel (16) in the mountains of southern Chile. Octavio (16), a Daniel’s friend, is accidentally injured while hunting in the forest. Amanda takes over the healing sessions, developing an intimate bond with the teenager. They discover that the contact with the wound produces an addictive pleasure.
