Samaresh Majumdar (10 March 1944 – 8 May 2023) was an eminent writer from West Bengal, India. He passed away on 8th May, 2023 at 5:45 PM in Kolkata after being hospitalized for COPD complications. He was best known for his Animesh series of novels, the second of which (Kalbela) won the Sahitya Akademi Award in 1984 and was adapted into a film in 2009. He was also known for creating the detective character Arjun, who is the central character of the 2013 film Arjun – Kalimpong E Sitaharan. The Bengali film Buno Haansh, which released on 15 August 2014, is also based on his novel of the same name, which was published in Pujabarshiki Anondolok.

On one hand, a renowned film producer, Adinath Mullick, comes to Anish's place to make a policy of INR 10 crores. Adinath wants Bharat Seva Ashram as the nominee of his policy. Then in the course of events, he wants to replace his nominee by someone called Chitralekha Sen. In the meantime, Adinath's son, Amitabha, and daughter, Gargi, both get greedy and start running after this money. They both want their names as the nominee and Anish falls into their trap. On the other, Gouranga's daughter Champakali sets a trap for Anish. She wants to marry Anish in exchange of convincing his father to make the deal done. In course of events, Anish meets Riyanka, a famous TV star, and coincidentally at that point of time, her husband Bobby takes his own life and Anish falls again into that trap again. Would he ever set free or fall into an unending nadir?

The film is based upon two early novels from the Arjun series...KHUN KHARAPI and SITAHORON ROHOSYO. Arjun is an aspirant detective who is influenced by his mentor/guide Amol Shome. mission. A Chinese criminal Juan Hanzi has set up base at the hill station Kalimpong. He intends to rob the Tibetan treasure buried under Kalimpongs Durpin Da Ra monastery. Incidentally, Amol Shome's old friend Bistubabu refers an NRI resident of Kalimpong to seek for advice from Amol at around the same time. That person is Mr.Sen and his father was the architect who designed the monastery and a copy of the plans are hidden in his house. An unidentified person is threatening Mr Roy. Arjun goes through the adventure of finding the whole culprit behind this operation and also decipher clues to secure the blueprints of the monastery.
