This sketch was the inspiration for Auf Wiedersehen Pet's return and has never been commercially released.

Man in Fear

Anthony Fox is a very paranoid man. Fleeing a coach crash, he wanders the streets; he's bloodied and desperate, trusting no-one, switching food orders and behaving erratically. Anthony finally walks into a suburban Police Station and approaches the world weary Desk Sergeant. In a cracked voice he tells him that people are trying to kill him... by accident. When the disbelieving Policeman sighs and asks him their motive, he cryptically replies 'Art'...

United

United is based on the true story of Manchester United's legendary "Busby Babes", the youngest side ever to win the Football League and the 1958 Munich Air Crash that claimed eight of the their number. The film draws on first-hand interviews with the survivors and their families to tell the inspirational story of a team and community overcoming terrible tragedy.

Sir Bobby Robson: A Knight to Remember

Sir Bobby Robson was a national and international hero whose roots were firmly planted in the coalfields of North East England. His success was based upon his ability to communicate his passion and enthusiasm to those around him. In what became his final filmed interview he looked back on his childhood in County Durham, his love of music and his phenomenal sporting achievements. He also talks about his final great project, The Sir Bobby Robson Foundation.

The Lost World

This Lost World is a splendid BBC TV dramatisation of Sir Arthur Conan Doyle's famous adventure story. Bob Hoskins makes an unusually genial Professor Challenger, far less of a bully than Doyle's character, but his slightly stereotyped companions are nicely filled out by a solid cast. James Fox is Challenger's more timid but still covertly adventurous rival, Tom Ward is the moustachioed big game hunter who faces an Allosaurus with an elephant gun, and Matthew Rhys plays the tagalong reporter hoping to impress his faithless fiancée.

Purely Belter

Gerry and Sewell are broke. Gerry's still at school and Sewell is unemployed. They both wish for better things in life. Owning two season tickets to their beloved football club is their biggest dream of all. The tickets cost £1000 - they're £1000 short. Shadow Run

Haskell is assigned a job by his boss, the aristocratic Landon-Higgins, to highjack a high security van in broad daylight while it's in the shadow run (out of radio contact with the main security firm). He assembles a team to carry out the heist, but things don't go according to plan and Haskell begins to think his boss might be double crossing him. Add to this, a teenage boarding school pupil has already witnessed some of the meetings of the team and Haskell's in real trouble.

In order to get close to the hitman, the rookie has cozied up to the hitman's boss, who is in the middle of a gang war with a rival Chinese mob.

Hands

Hands was dramatised from one of Sid Chaplin’s early short stories and broadcast in the BBC North East Region as a tribute to Chaplin, who died in January 1986. It features Tim Healy and Robson Green as father and son in a video drama which uses a mixture of studio recording, with stylised sets created by the use of colour separation overlay, location filming, photographs and songs (by Alex Glasgow), dramatising the life of a family in a mining community. Chaplin had worked as a miner and as such much of his writing was about the mining community he grew up in.

Educating Oz

Educating Oz, is a very rare chapter in Auf Wiedersehen, Pet history. Mostly unseen by many viewers it stars Jimmy Nail as Oz, and Tim Healy as Dennis, Educating Oz, is a short public information film made in 1986 to highlight the issue of AIDS and how important it is to practice safe sex, using the characters of the popular TV series.
