Rare Bird Alert chronicles a punk rock birder’s odyssey across North America as he explores how the climate crisis is affecting birds, from the viewpoint of other birders. The film observes that every birder is their own unique species and explores how birding has gone mainstream and is soaring in popularity.

Sickboy

Sickboy follows 29-year-old Jeremie Saunders as he lives openly with Cystic Fibrosis and devotes his life to removing the stigma attached to chronic illness and disease. He demonstrates that laughing about the absurdity of CF can take away its power. The film traces the efforts by Jeremie and his best friends, Brian and Taylor, to create an internet podcast that seeks to change the way people view serious illness like brain cancer, schizophrenia, and epilepsy.

The Phantoms

The Phantoms is a television movie inspired by the heart-warming, real-life events surrounding the 2009 New Brunswick provincial championship victory by the Bathurst High School (BHS Phantoms) boys varsity basketball team, a year after a terrible road accident takes the lives of seven players and the coach’s wife. In the following school year, as tragedy hangs over the community, the BHS Phantoms are reconstituted. The ragtag bunch of players gels as a team, and manages to lift community spirit on the long road to the provincial basketball finals.

Canada Russia '72

In 1972, a historical ice hockey game series is arranged where the cream of Canadian's professional star players of the National Hockey League against the best of the Soviet Union. Although Canada and the USSR have faced off repeatedly on the amateur level before, most of Canada is smugly convinced that the Soviets will be no match for the pros. However, that assumption is forcefully shot down when Team Canada is soundly trounced in the first game by the skilled Soviet Union team. What follows is a bitter struggle as Team Canada fights to recover in a series that would change Canadian hockey's self-image and history forever.

Open Heart

Things appear to be looking up for a cash-strapped, regional hospital when it hires a reputedly brilliant cardiac surgeon to head up its pediatric cardiac surgery unit. But when increasing numbers of children begin dying on the operating table, the unit's top O.R. nurse begins to suspect that the new surgeon is not as experienced as everyone has been lead to believe. She finds herself alone, faced with jeopardizing the career she loves by taking on the powers that be and blowing the whistle on the influential surgeon and the harrowing goings-on at the hospital.
