Ester Henning (1887-1985) was a Swedish sculptor and artist who spent 60 years of her life in mental hospitals. She was poor, in bad health mentally unstable and spent only four years in school before she had to earn a living. But from her closed world she created expressive and appreciated art.

Playing with Fire

Actor and director Ulf Friberg has filmed August Strindberg's play "Leka med elden". Or at least almost. The story of a middle-aged couple and their summer guests slides almost unnoticed into the story of the relationship between the actors and the director. The result is an airy, summery metafilm of both classic and innovative cuts.

There is a thin line between money and loyalty. Thomas Skepphult runs an investment company, and is arrested for the murder of his business partner when his fingerprint is found on the murder weapon. When he tries to call his lawyer, the phone is answered by someone who he thought had committed suicide years ago.

Syndare i sommarsol

In the mid-1920s, four young men and women have decided to spend their summer holiday studying together and have rented a wonderful house in the Swedish archipelago. Rationally, they realize that this cohabitation may lead to some of the members being attracted to one another. Thus, in order to avoid unnecessary passions, conflicts, jealousy, grief and enmity, the women sleep in a separate house on the other side of the creek. In spite of believing that they are prepared for anything, and even though they share the task of cooking, their feelings get carried away.

Kenneth arranges for Johan to smuggle 15 Iraqi from Frankfurt to Sweden. On the same night Sweden plays the fateful game against Costa Rica...

The Jönsson Gang & the Black Diamond

Sickan, the leader of the criminal Jönsson gang is incarcerated in a mental institution, attended by Dr M.A. Busé, who admire a handbook in crime that Sickan has been writing. Blackmailed by the nefarious banker Wall-Enberg, Dr Busé and Sickan's partners Vanheden and Dynamite-Harry execute Sickan's plan of stealing the valuable Black Diamond of the Romanovs from the National Museum.
