Making his debut as a music composer with Broker - 2 in 2014, after which he composed the music of Anaganaga Oka Durga in 2017. In 2017, Vijay directed the Rameez Raja and Janani Iyer-starrer comedy-drama Vidhi Madhi Ultaa, marking his Tamil film debut.
