The Little Mermaid

A little Mermaid falls in love with a Prince whom she saves during a storm. Using all kinds of magical incantations in exchange for the Mermaid’s beautiful blue hair, a witch replaces her fish tail with human legs, making it possible for the Mermaid to walk and live on earth at the cost of great pain with every step she takes. The Little Mermaid willingly suffers through these trials only to be near her beloved. But the Prince, not realizing how lucky he is, becomes enamored with a beautiful but vain princess.

Taste of Khalva

For many years the great Emir of Bukhara has not known happiness - he has lost the taste to delightful khalva, and now life is as sour as a lemon for him. The house of poor pot-maker Shir-Mamed, however, is full of happiness - his little son Hodzha Nasreddin has been born. Rumours have spread about his unusual abilities - maybe he will be able to make the Emir happy again?

Having once seen a portrait of the shah dancer Madina Banu, the singer Murad-ali falls in love with a beauty and sets off in search of her. The hero finds himself in the palace of the Shah, and soon becomes convinced of the reciprocity of his feelings. But his appearance becomes known to the Shah. An angry ruler offers him a choice: rejection of his beloved or the burning of both at the stake.

Aladdin and His Magic Lamp

A young boy finds a magic lantern that contains a genie, and when he frees the genie he's granted three wishes. He uses the wishes to help the princess of Baghdad and her father fight off an evil sorcerer who's trying to take over the kingdom.

Nargis

On the motifs of the story of S.Rashidov “A Kashmir song”. Spring Flower Nargis waits for the master of bees Bambur whom nobody has seen yet. A witch transforms the master of storms Chorud into a young man and lets him pass as Bambur, but her trick is unmasked. Chorud kills Nargis, but Bambur revives her. A tale by the old ( Cell animation) master Polkovnikov, (1908-1982) whose active career as animation director stretched from 1933 till 1980.

A Snow Fairy Tale

New Year's Eve. The boy Mitya, who loves to fantasize, jokingly tells his comrades at school that his children's toy watch with painted hands is magical and can stop all the clocks in the world, stop time, or even revive a snowman.

The Day the Earth Froze

Based on Finnish mythology; Lemminkäinen woos the fair Annikki and battles the evil witch Louhi. Louhi kidnaps Annikki to compel her brother to build for her a Sampo, a magical device that creates salt, grain, and gold. When Lemminkäinen fails to recover the Sampo, Louhi steals the sun, plunging the world into frozen darkness.

Avicenna

The film is dedicated to the philosopher, doctor, scientist of the East and poet Abu-Ali Ibn-Sin, who lived in Bukhara in the 10th century and was known in Europe under the name of Avicenna. Bukhara. Smart Man Nassredin easily penetrates into Bukhara Emir inner circle posing as Wise Man from Damascus. He becomes Emir trusted advisor, and even convinces the tyrant to relax the rule and release a lot of political prisoners (because stars favor this arrangement).

Heaven

Osoaviahimovets (volounteer military trainee) Andron organizes an aviation circle on his Volna collective farm and plans to build a parachute tower. Pilot Oreshkin, in love with Varenka, the daughter of the collective farm chairman, who is categorically opposed to aviation in the village, promises the guys to bring a parachute soon. And no matter how cunning the chairman is, young people still manage to convince him.
