John Hopper

John Brian Hopper is an up and coming Christian director and writer known for award-winning, faith based short films such as Sovereign (2015) and Gone (2016). John was born on October 15, 1995 in Brisbane, Queensland, Australia. At a young age, John appreciated films and storytelling although it wasn't until his early high school days when he developed a passion for filmmaking. Starting off making movies with his younger brother, Matthew Hopper, John began to understand the art of directing and editing. Even though he did not complete any film subjects in school, John developed his filmmaking skills through the help and guidance of friends and fellow filmmakers. In 2010, John formed a production company that would later be known as Foriam Studios. In 2014, John got involved with actors and filmmakers from the local film industry in Brisbane and created Monument. From here on, John would continue to write, direct and sometimes edit films with cast and crew across Queensland. In recent times, John has incorporated his strong Christian faith into his films; hoping to inspire, encourage and challenge viewers from all walks of life.
