Samuel Vargas, a 23-year-old indie filmmaker from Envigado, Colombia, currently resides in Miami, Florida, and is pursuing his B.A.S. in Film, Television, and Digital Production at Miami Dade College. He has been selected to participate in the "2024 Film and Media Career Development Program" by the gotham EDU and has received the Sidney Poitier Initiative Scholarship. Vargas is recognized for his directing and producing skills, particularly for his work on several short films. His short films have been showcased at esteemed film festivals such as the Miami Film Festival, OutShine Film Festival, and Independent Shorts Awards. One of his short films, "As I Promised You," garnered over 271K views on YouTube within a year. His most recent project is "¡Que Colombianada!"
