Waldo and Becca have exactly three things in common. Both are chefs. Both are single. And both dislike each other equally. When they end up at a crazy singles retreat in the mountains, fate throws them together in one absurd scenario after another. This forces them to reconsider their opinions on love. Safta winner Schalk Bezuidenhout (Kanarie, Hotel) and Safta nominee Kate Pinchuck (Tali's Baby Diary) play the lead roles – Schalk in Afrikaans and Kate in English – with the rest of the star-studded cast including Silwerskerm Award winners Rolanda Marais and Edwin van der Walt, as well as Safta nominee Keenan Arrison, and Braeden Buys (Spinners, Trompoppie). Newcomer Morné Strydom (Twenty Tone In ’n Hangkas) shines as the writer and director of this unique rom-com filmed on Silvermist Wine Estate. The film is produced by the award-winning Nagvlug Films (Donkerbos, Nêrens, Northern Cape), as well as One More Cup of Coffee, owned by Strydom and producer Aisha Williams.
