Juan Álvarez Neme

He was born in Montevideo, Uruguay in 1972. He graduated from the Uruguayan Film School in 1999 and founded tarkiofilm in 2008. Among his films are the documentary Standing at the foot of the white tree (2007), which won the award for best Uruguayan documentary at ATLANTIDOC 2007. His second film, The Crop of the Invisible Flower, was part of the 2012's Official Selection at Bafici, E tudo verdade and the International Film Festival of Uruguay. In 2012 he also made the documentary Avant, winner of Best documentary at Detour Film Festival.
