The Sleeper

Elgun Guliyev was born on Christmas Day in 1999 in Baku. He has worked as a marketing specialist in the film industry, including roles at Debut Film Studios and Azerbaijanfilm. Now based in Cologne, Germany, he continues his career at Pluto Film. He made his directorial debut with The Sleeper (Short, 2020), contributed to the production team of Two Days (Short, 2022), and worked as both DOP and editor on Story of Sanan (2021). Most recently, he wrote and directed Orizuru (Short, 2022).
