Nassim Abassi holds both Moroccan and British Citizenship, he attended Film School at the Surrey Institute of Art and Design in the UK in 1997. He has produced and directed several feature films both in the UK and in Morocco.
"Majid", his first film as a Producer and Film director has its World Premiere at the Dubai International Film Festival and was released in Moroccan cinemas on 30 March 2011. The film enjoyed both public and critical acclaim in Morocco and took part in more than 30 world film festivals and won over 10 international prizes.
"My Uncle", his second feature film as a Producer and Film director was released in 2017 in cinemas in Morocco after its World Premiere at the Marrakech International Film Festival.
After the announcement in March 2016 of new changes in Moroccan financial law concerning foreign film shoots in Morocco, Nassim Abassi decided to expand his film production company, Moondust Production, activities to offer high quality film services to foreign shoots in Morocco.
