Born in South Korea and raised in LA, Justin has lived and worked across Latin America, Spain, and Central Asia. He interested in exploring the intersection of documentary filmmaking, ethnographic research, and oral history. His work focuses on creating portraits of communities and recording histories that are under threat of erasure due larger structural forces such as colonialism and climate change, in particular stories from Asia or the the Asian diaspora.
